The Arizona immigration law...

Couldn't have said this better (for sure ;-), so I'm not gonna try. Excellent!

A carefully crafted immigration law in Arizona

The chattering class is aghast at Arizona's new immigration law. "Harkens back to apartheid," says the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Cynthia Tucker. "Shameful," says the Washington Post's E.J. Dionne. "Terrible…an invitation to abuse," says the New York Times' David Brooks.

For his part, President Obama calls the law "misguided" and says it "threaten[s] to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans." Obama has ordered the Justice Department to "closely monitor the situation and examine the civil rights and other implications of this legislation."

Has anyone actually read the law?

George Soros and Obama: enemies of liberty

I think it’s fairly obvious that had it not been for the Hungarian-born billionaire George Soros, Barrack Obama would not be President of the United States today. Soros, who made most of his billions through the currency speculation which he first commenced during the post-war hyper inflation in Hungary in 1946, has become the world’s top financial supporter of statism and socialism. He is a “soft fascist”, as author Mark Levin would say, that is to say, someone who would foist a socialist totalitarian government on us by incremental steps....

Note: Well worth a read & a share on your blog... and / or some commentary. I rec'd it via Facebook contact today. It's an older article, December - but again, worth a read and thought.

Obama’s Victim: The “Peace Process”

The apparently escalating conflict between the US and Israel did not have to occur. It must be resolved now, before it does irreparable harm to prospects for peace.

The conflict was largely contrived by people with agendas. The initial impetus for the brouhaha was an ill-timed announcement that permits had been issued for building 1,600 additional residences in a part of Jerusalem that had been captured by Israel in the 1967 war. The Netanyahu government had been praised by President Obama for agreeing to a freeze on building permits on the West Bank, despite the fact that the freeze did not extend to any part of Jerusalem. Thus the announcement of new building permits did not violate any agreement by Israel.

Interesting: Obama Approval Index Month-by-Month

When tracking President Obama’s job approval on a daily basis, people sometimes get so caught up in the day-to-day fluctuations that they miss the bigger picture. To look at the longer-term trends, Rasmussen Reports compiles the numbers on a full-month basis, and the results can be seen in the graphics below.

Obama’s Approval Index rating fell a point in March to match the lowest levels yet measured for this president. His rating held steady in the first two months of 2010, after falling seven points in the final three months of 2009.
