Recommending NetRight Daily

I like to share good things with my readers and this is one I'm not sure I've shared before. If I haven't it's a huge oversight! I get an update from www.netrightnation.com in my inbox every day that is always chocked full of excellent info. Here's today's NetRight Daily:

Pelosi Lied: Did Pelosi ask for a larger plane? This is no longer a question, but rather a fact. She did. Now the Speaker must explain why she lied.

A Taxpayer Revolution: When New Hampshire became the 9th state to ratify the proposed U.S. Constitution, the nation's most important founding document was finally brought into full effect. Now, 221 years later, the state may again surge to the forefront of history as its newly enacted local spending caps portend a revolt of the populace against the out-of-control spending so prevalent in today's political “bailout” culture.

Chris Dodd's Irish 'Cottage': The Senate Ethics Committee has been looking into possible conflicts of interest in Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd's 2003 mortgages. Now questions about another Dodd real-estate adventure, this one in Ireland, should keep the Ethicists even busier. All the more because Mr. Dodd's "cottage" purchase involves a crooked stock trader for whom the Senator once did a very big political favor.

New Blog: Freedom Watch with the Judge: Fox News's Judge Napolitano has started a blog where he will archive episodes of his show, Freedom Watch.

Beating Back Judicial Activism in Missouri: When the Founding Fathers drafted the Constitution, careful attention was given to prevent the encroachment of one particular government body over another. As a result, surgical precision was dedicated to sculpting an intricate, three-branch system of government that kept tabs on itself by design.

FBI Raid on Obama Appointee Office: Federal agents this morning are searching the Judiciary Square office of Washington, D.C.'s Chief Technology Officer.

Trading Places: For years, the Communist Chinese have been the butt of American jokes for their Maoist principles and centralized government planning.

Rebuttal to Negative Palin Opinion Column, Anchorage Daily News

Typically, a negative column was written about Sarah Palin without facts to back up the assertions. Vince Beltrami does a very able job of setting the record straight, and chastising Dan Fagan. Well worth a read!

Fagan seems to think spite can take the place of research

I know Dan Fagan's column is supposed to be "opinion," but his column last Sunday lambasting Governor Palin is truly pathetic. Fagan assumes since the governor made a statement about daughter Bristol's fiance Levi Johnston, regarding his pursuit of a high school diploma and simultaneous enrollment in an apprenticeship program, that the governor somehow may have inappropriately influenced Johnston's enrollment in said apprenticeship, absent any actual and self-admitted proof for his allegations.

Booorrrinnnngggg....

If these media types are going to continue to go after Sarah Palin, they at least need to be original. "The Drone Report" blog should be going after this one! The so-called "progressives" get their talking points and then regurgitate. I have seen some of these same comments, maybe worded just a tiny, tiny bit, in the media so many times it's getting booorrrriiiiinnnngggg...

Same comments, different left-learning "news" media.

One good thing about the continued attacks - it shows that those who are attacking understand just how much of a draw Sarah has across the country! If she didn't have star power they'd ignore her. They're scared of her magnetism, intelligence and plain old goodness. She's real. She doesn't play games and they don't know how to deal with it (other than to continue to try and trash her).

If they truly wanted her to go away, they wouldn't waste any ink on her. Instead they continue the baseless attacks which just makes her a stronger candidate and has more of us looking at her. And liking her!

Read this drivel on U.S. News if you must :

Sarah Palin Needs to Go Away Before She Does Even More Harm to Herself
January 09, 2009 12:06 PM ET
By Robert Schlesinger, Thomas Jefferson Street blog
For her own good, Sarah Palin needs to go away.
To be clear: As a liberal and as a commentator, I love it every time Palin pops up again. She's great copy and great fun (not necessarily intentionally in either case). But if she really does want a political future beyond hero-of-the-GOP base, she needs to take a timeout.

Google Alerts for the Day

Here's the blogs and news stories Google chose to send me today. Tell me there's not a bias! There's one I want to read, it's the one about beehive buzzes for Sarah Palin. I can't turn on the television without hearing Sarah Palin's name and I can't pick up a newspaper without seeing it and somehow this is the best Google can come up with! They're definitely not picking up any conservative blogs. Sooner or later they're going to get mad at me for continuing to harass them and my blog is going to disappear, right after the Read My Lips Network blog because I saw a comment on that one, too. I may have some fun with the Google alerts and put in the word conservative, another for Republican, and maybe some other terms just to see what they choose to send! It's a great service in theory.

Sarah Palin and the Media

Just read on a blog (not on the news) that Sarah Palin is slated to do her first TV talk with Charles Gibson, ABC News. I was rather hoping it would be Fox News, but I certainly understand the strategy. The way Fox News is portrayed by the Dems would give them fodder for more talk of protecting her and all the same old drivel we're hearing.

I was rather pleased that she hadn't made the talk show rounds. I love the freshness, the shock it has caused the media. "What, WE don't know her?" "WE haven't vetted her?" "She has NEVER been on Meet the Press?" Sure, that's the criteria I use for selecting who I'm going to vote for... I use the press (cough, cough, sarcasm to the nth degree).

Tonight on Fox News at 8 p.m. there will be a repeat of last night's special on Sarah Palin. I missed last night but I will definitely be watching tonight!

Setting another rumor to rest, possibly: I had heard that Hillary Clinton was refusing to go after Sarah Palin because she (Hillary) didn't want to hurt her chances with potential future women voters. According to Axelrod and / or Biden on this morning's talk shows (think it was Biden), Hillary is going to be out campaigning and hitting Sarah. I really don't have a problem with that as long as she sticks to issues. It's the trash that is being spread by Democratic surrogates on the blogs that bothers me. Who knew the so-called party of peace could be so combative and downright nasty? It's "give peace a chance" unless you don't happen to agree with what THEY believe in I gather.

Sarah Palin continues to be the talk of the town and the world. Unfortunately I've noticed that Google is being biased in the news they're picking up. I did a search on Sarah Palin blogs on Google and couldn't find any that were positive. I know there are some out there that are positive when it comes to Sarah Palin and the Republicans in general. Unfortunately you wouldn't think so if you searched on Google blogs. I did manage to find a few by typing in various titles & have listed then on the sidebar.

If you have a pro-McCain, pro-Palin, pro-Republican blog, add a comment with a link and we'll take a look and possibly add it to the list.
